Oswego Brewing Co. Reveals the Name of its Head Brewer

Oswego, IL, February 23, 2018 - Oswego Brewing Co. is announcing that Marc Wilson will be joining the company as its Head Brewer in mid-March 2018.

A former brewer at Rock Bottom Brewery in Chicago and Warrenville, IL & Nevin’s Brewing Company / Midnight Pig in Plainfield, IL, the award winning Marc Wilson brings a strong educational background in brewing and the art & science of beer making.  He is a graduate of the Siebel Institute of Technology, a former Chemistry Teacher, and is currently an Adjunct with the College of DuPage, teaching a course in the Business of Craft Beer series.

He has won a number of awards for his beers: In 2015, he won Gold & Best in Show at the Midwest Brewers Fest for his Belgian Strong Dark; In 2016, he took Bronze at the Great American Beer Festival for his Doppelbock; and also in 2016, he was awarded Gold Medals for his Dobblebock & Amber Lager, and Silver for his Märzen/Octoberfest from the Beverage Tasting Institute.

Oswego Brewing Co. is very proud and excited to have Marc join the company as Head Brewer and we look forward to letting him showcase his talents for our customers.

ABOUT OSWEGO BREWING CO. - Slated for a late-April / early-May opening, Oswego Brewing Co. is a craft micro-brewery located in the heart of downtown Oswego, IL at 61 Main Street, in the “basement” of the old Village firehouse.  Utilizing a 15BBL brewhouse and 30BBL fermenters, Oswego Brewing Co. has a capacity fo approximately 2,000 to 2,800 BBLS per year.  Their focus is to create beers that will cater to the tastes of every beer drinker.  

Featuring a sixty seat tap room and twenty seat meeting room, the brewery aims to be a welcoming place where our customers can stop in for a beer, play a few board games, socialize with their friends, and just feel at home.  To ensure our customers will not go hungry, we will keep the menus of local eating establishments in the tap room and also bring in food trucks of varying cuisines each weekend.
